Rare Collection: Muky Studio Photographs from Stage Struck and Middle of the Night 42 Photos Total. Menyhert Munkacsi (1909-1999) known throughout the film industry for 60 years as "Muky" and who the New York Times called "the Mathew Brady" of film when they profiled/reviewed the outdoor set photography of some 75 films. He was also an accomplished studio photographer working for Warner Brothers from 1930 to 1940.
26 11 x 14 black and white photographs taken on set while filming Stage Struck. These photos feature the stars Joan Greenwood, Henry Fonda, Susan Strasberg, Christopher Plummer. Four of these photos are signed by Muky in the bottom right corner.
16 11 x 14 black and white photographs taken on set while filming Middle of the Night. These photos feature the stars Fredric March, Glenda Farrell, Kim Novak, Martin Balsam, and Albert Dekker. These photographs are stamped on verso with "Photo by Muky" in red ink. 3 photographs are signed by Muky in the bottom right corner. Estimated Value $200 - 400
