His clockwork mechanism is wound up by turning his right arm and holding the left arm still. Button in ear notes Made in Germany Steiff KNOPF IM OHR 40553 (front) and L.ED of 5000 pcs. 1340 /1990 0164/29 (back). Chest tag is intact and notes Purzelbär Replica 1909.
