Lot 4127

1894 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded AU-55. Well struck and mostly untoned. A popular scarce date. The presence of two very shallow, light hairlines (one on the forehead, the other below the chin) can be easily brushed aside when considering the bold relief and streaming luster that expands over the surface on both sides. Though overshadowed in the literature by the more famous 1893-S Morgan, this 1894 issue from the Philadelphia has nearly the same low mintage, with high-grade survivors being exceedingly few and far between (PCGS # 7228) .
Estimated Value $1,900 - 2,000.

Realized $1,955
