Optimism: An Essay, London: Isbister & Company, 1904, 60 pages, octavo. Deep acqua and gilt hard covers are worn but attractive. Frontispiece of Miss Keller in a graduation gown and mortarboard (she graduated from Ratcliffe College) is partially detached; remainder of pages are tight and lightly toned. Originally pubished in 1903 as "Optimism: An Essay."
