Billie Dove, "All the Brothers Were Valiant" (1903 - 1997) Billie Dove was an American actress who appeared in numerous silent films in the 1920s and 1930s. She began her career as a model, and then transitioned into acting, appearing in The Ziegfeld Follies Revue. Dove began to appear in silent films in 1921 and quickly became a popular leading lady, starring opposite many of the top male stars at the time. She was known for her beauty and her ability to convey emotion on screen.
This album, binding ribbon lost, once held 175 still photographs from what looks to be the 1923 American silent sea adventure and romantic drama film, All the Brothers Were Valiant, starring Billie Dove, Malcolm McGregor, Lon Chaney, William Orlamond, Robert McKim, Bob Kortman, Otto Brower, Curt Rehfeld, William V. Mong, Leo Willis, Shannon Day, Ted Billings, and Gwendolynne D'Amour. It is possible there are stills from other Billie Dove movies mixed in. Estimated Value $300 - 500
