Wright, Frank Lloyd: Rare Autographed Copy of "An Autobiography, Frank Lloyd Wright" First Edition, Scarce (1867-1959) One of the most important architects of the 20th Century who also proved a fine writer and educator. Offered is a very scarce signed First Edition copy of his autobiography published in 1932. Wright has simply signed his name at top of front end paper, no inscription. Inside front cover is signed by R. Van Buren Livingston (tape lift near his name, likely a removed book plate) who owned this autobiography and well known for many mid-Century homes from the late 1940s -60s in California, many recognized of historical note.
Condition of book. Housed in its original slip cover know it is in rough condition. The autobiography itself has very clean interior pages and photos with no issues, the striking gilt black and red Wright design on front cover are without scrapes and stains, with the same excellent condition to the back cover. What is at issue is the spine, inexplicably it is missing but clearly worthy of restoration.

Striking gilt and red cover on black board, top edge red. Extremities and spine slightly bumped, the latter a little loose. Internally very clean. Scarce signed. Estimated Value $800 - 1,200

Realized $638
