Henry Fonda: Spectacular, Inscribed and Signed Vintage Original, Oversized Portrait of Fonda as Abe Lincoln in YOUNG MR. LINCOLN (1939). Henry Fonda (1905 1982) proved one of the all-time great actors during Hollywood Golden Age to his last performance in ON GOLDEN POND. But in 1939, the greatest year in film, John Ford directed Fonda in a biographical Western of Lincoln based on the "Almanac Case" in 1858 in Beardstown, Illinois. It remains a classic. Offered is a 14 x 11" double weight portrait of Fonda as Lincoln. At first glance, the likeness is uncanny giving pause to many. Inscribed and signed in lower right in green fountain pen ink across his left hand "For Artie, Sincerely Henry Fonda.
