Golden Age of Hollywood Letters/Autographs. Joan Crawford, Gloria Swanson, Edward G. Robinson, H.B. Warner and Hedda Hopper. Fine collection of letters/autographs by Golden Age Hollywood.
1.) Gloria Swanson writing to Irvin Shrewsbury Cobb regarding her not being able to contribute to his charity "I have just recently settled with the Government which has taken all of my available, and I might add, unavailable cash. A much desired piece by collectors.
2.) Edward G. Robinson also writing Irvin S. Cobb (quite the fundraiser) with a $25 donation writing "I am groggy from the appeals of so many deserving quarters…….Let it represent not what I feel but what I can do in relation to other needs." Signed Edward G. Robinson in black fountain pen ink but also initialed in very large letters, E.G. R.
3.) Joan Crawford writing a lovely letter of well wishes to silent actress Billie Dove dated 1971.
4. H. B. Warner: Rare autograph boldly executed on the back of a blank personalized note sheet of Irvin S. Cobb.
5.) Letter by Hedda Hopper
