1787 New Jersey. . Maris 48-g Rarity-1. NGC graded AU-58 Brown Outlined Shield. Glossy chocolate brown with darker chocolate toning in protected areas. The surfaces are attractive and appear perfectly smooth to the unaided eye, but a strong glass reveals microscopic roughness. No verdigris or marks. Nicely struck and well centered. The outlined shield feature is noted on the NGC label.
