Kushan Empire. Vasudeva II. Gold Dinar (10.3 g), ca. AD 290-310. Mint III (C). Vasudeva II, nimbate, standing facing, head left, sacrificing over altar and holding trident, flame at shoulder; in left field, filleted trident; in right field, tamgha; annulets, pellets and symbols around. Reverse : Ithyphallic Siva standing facing, holding garland and trident; behind, the bull Nandi, with annulet on rump, standing left; in upper left field, tamgha; below Nandi's head, triple pellets. MK 688; Donum Burns -. Well struck throughout and superb. Nearly Mint State.
