1843 N-12 R1 Head of 1842 VF35. Ten points sharper but lightly cleaned and retoned an attractive glossy chocolate and steel brown with frosty reddish steel brown toning in protected areas. A tiny rim nick over the first A in AMERICA is the only notable mark. Unique latest die state with a small but clearly defined rim cud break over the T in UNITED to the left edge of the adjacent E. This new cud is in addition to the earlier ones from under the ribbon end clockwise to above UNIT (state e). This new die state is state f. Discovered at the 2013 ANA Convention in Chicago.
