Lot 37

1843 N-3 R3 Petite Head, Small Ltrs NGC graded MS66 Brown. Lustrous bluish steel and olive brown. Satiny mint frost covers this cent and the eye appeal is outstanding. Essentially flawless. A barely visible horizontal nick near the dentils below the 4 is a good identifying mark and it is barely visible with a good glass. M-LDS. The fields are flowlined but the point from the right top of the O in ONE is visible. Our grade is MS63, CC#3 for the variety in the Grellman census. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the NGC label. NGC population 2; none finer. Estimated Value $3,000 - UP
