Ancient Rome. Lot of Four Ancient Silver Coins. Roman, and Earlier, c. 475 BC. - 217 AD. Included are three Denarii. Vespasian, 69-79 AD: Sow left, with piglets (RIC 109). Caracalla, 198-217 AD.: Venus left, captives at feet (RIC 312d). Plautilla, wife of Caracalla: Venus left, Cupid at feet (RIC 369). Plus a Persian Siglos, c. 485-470 BC (Carradice IIIb). Siglos nicely centered on compact roundish flan. Coins with differing tones and patinas, with Caracalla the best preserved, well struck and still lustrous. Lot of 4. Coins range from About Fine (Vespasian) to Near Extremely Fine (Caracalla).
