1794 S-34 R5+ Fair-2. Most of the designs are slightly sharper than Fair-2, but the strike is uneven and the upper half of the reverse displays areas of light corrosion. Myriad faint scratches cover the portrait, but there is no verdigris. Lightly cleaned and retoned a slightly glossy bluish steel brown and chocolate. The date is faint and barely readable but at least half the legends remain visible. Nothing special until you consider the die state. Rare LDS, Breen state IV, with a large cud break connecting the cap to the rim, and this feature is obvious. An important piece for the die state specialist.
Estimated Value $300-UP.
