Ireland. Bank Token Six Shillings, 1804. S.6615; Dav-102; KM-Tn1. George III, 1760-1820. Obverse: Draped laureate bust of King. Center leaf points to E. Reverse: Hibernia seated with branch and Irish harp. BANK OF IRELAND TOKEN. Date and SIX SHILLINGS below. NGC graded AU-55.
Much rarer than the equivalent proof in top grades, the currency pieces were intended to circulate and are usually found in an inferior condition. A beautifully well preserved specimen with an abundance of original luster.
