Roman Republic. Lot 2 AR Denarii, 83 and 67 BC. C. Norbanus, 83 BC.; Diademed head of Venus right / Prow stem, fasces, cadueus, corn ear (Craw. 357/1a). Also, C. Calpurnius L.f. Frugi, 67 BC; Head of Apollo right, eagle head at left / Nude horseman galloping right, retrograde C beneath name (RSC Calpurnia 24aa). First coin with tiny banker's mark at neck. Second, choice, with bold high refief portrait, and very lustrous. Very good lot; both lightly toned. Lot of 2 coins. First, Near Extremely Fine; second, Choice Extremely Fine.
