Jayne Mansfield and Johnny Weismuller Signed Photos. Signed photos from two very popular films stars of the 1950s
(1933-1967) Star of stage and screen, Jayne Mansfield proved immensely entertaining for a time, all voluptuous curves and platinum blond, the perfect 50s bombshell. However she proved a wonderful comedic actress in THE GIRL CAN'T HELP IT, WILL SUCCESS SPOIL ROCK HUNTER? and PROMISES PROMISES. Offered is a beautifully inscribed and signed black and white publicity still 7½ x 10" "Best Wishes Denise, from Jayne Mansfield. Signature is executed in blue ball point pen and very legible. However part of the name "Mansfield" does enter the shadow area of right side of photo. Photo has minor rippling and some creasing in lower left of photo, nevertheless a fantastic piece and Mansfield never looked lovelier.
(1904-1984) Gold Medal champion in the 1920s in two Olympics, Johnny Weismuller greatest success came in his starring in over a dozen films as Tarzan for several studios then went on to starring in 13 Jungle Jim adventures throughout the 1950s. Offered is a single weight publicity still, 9 x 7" of Weismuller as Tarzan. Inscribed "My Best Regards To You John from Johnny Weismuller Tarzan" Photo was signed in black fountain pen ink at the time and displays a bit of smearing mostly in Tarzan but not significant. $400 - 600
