1875, $1 United States Note. . Fr-26. . KL-13. PMG graded Gem Uncirculated 65, Exceptional Paper Quality. A fancy ornamental frame at right around ONE DOLLAR is the most notable difference of the 1875 Series of Legal Tender ones from those that follow (1880 and 1917 series). Like many of the other notes in this fine consignment, the paper is fresh and white, crispness complete. The colors are vivid red against the black and white front, with deep rich saturated green for the reverse. The photographs captures this nicely, but first-hand viewing still is best!
