Byrd and dated March 28,1928 executed in black fountain pen ink on tan stationery, 5 x 6.5"

Edmund Hillary ((1919-2008) Explorer and mountaineer who, with Sherpa guide Tenzing Norgay, became the first climbers confirmed to have reached the summit of Mount Everest. While that feat is what he is best known, Hillary scaled numerous Himalayan peaks, reached the South Pole and even flew with Neil Armstrong over the Artic Ocean and landed at the North Pole.
