Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. Posthumous AR Tetradrachm (16.81 g), Odessos, struck 125-70 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter; ΘE at left, monogram beneath throne. Price 1181; Muller 419. Attractive sharp strike; very lustrous, with stylish portrait. Toned. Especially this nice for this series. Superb Extremely Fine.
