Lot 3178

1893-CC Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. Blast white and semi reflective. Without doubt the most visually stunning feature of this coin is its vibrant, frosted mint luster. Full swirling luster on both sides, in fact, with an almost mirror aspect to the fields offsetting the frostier high points of Liberty and the eagle. Of course, collectors seeing the photos understand this coin is sharply struck for the date, best of all nearly entirely so. Certainly a mint-fresh '93-CC that gets proper mention where completeness of design is almost impossible to attain. Pop 392; 7 finer in 65. (PCGS # 7222) .
Estimated Value $9,000 - 10,000.
The Greenhill Collection.

Realized $12,075
