1804 S-266b R5 G5. A couple points sharper but covered with extremely faint roughness and there is a swipe of stronger roughness extending from the face to the rim before the neck. No verdigris. The notable marks are a rim bruise at IB in LIBERTY and a fine scratch in the leaves under E in AMERICA. Slightly glossy olive and steel with lighter chocolate brown toning on the devices. The date and legends are complete and easily readable, although STATES is relatively weak. MDS, Breen state III, with a cud break connecting RTY to the rim above but no cud at MERIC. The rarest die state of the year.
