Marilyn Monroe Signed Document as President, Marilyn Monroe Productions, Inc. Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) one page official letter to Milton H. Greene, who met Marilyn when a freelance photographer for LOOK magazine. Quickly becoming close friends, they formed an independent film production company with Monroe in 1955. Collaboration proved a huge success allowing Monroe more control over her films with the release of BUS STOP and THE PRINCE AND THE SHOWGIRL. However their personal and professional ties started to unravel especially with Monroe's new husband, Arthur Miller finding him shady and serving only to enrich his own financial interests while undermining Monroe's. He sold his minority interest in the company in 1957 severing his ties with Monroe and her company completely. In the acclaimed film, MY WEEK WITH MARILYN, Dominic Cooper portrayed Milton Greene. This 8½ x 11" letter signed and dated in early 1958 Monroe is authorizing delivery to Greene a 16mm print of THE PRINCE AND THE SHOWGIRL at no charge and strictly for personal use.
