Appointment Documents Signed by Caleb Strong and William Washburn. Two appointment documents for esquires in Mssachussets in excellent condition. One signed by Caleb Strong (1745-1819) in 1814. Strong is best known for his role as a Founding Father of the United States and his service as a governor of Massachusetts. This document has an attached paper seal that has some discoloration. The other document is signed by William Washburn in 1873 and has an embossed seal in the upper left corner. Estimated Value $250 - 500
