Thessaly, Larissa, 360-350 BC. AR Stater (5.97 g). Head of the nymph Larissa facing three-quarter to left, wearing necklace. Reverse: Horse grazing right, forefoot raised. BMC 57; Dewing 1402-1403. Finely designed and nicely modeled. Extremely Fine.
Three-quarter facing heads are very difficult to render artistically. This particular die pairing captures the beauty of the water nymph Larissa.
