Moesia Inferior, Kallatis. Pseudo-autonomous Coinage, c. 50 BC-AD 100. AE 23. Veiled and draped bust (Demeter?) right, holding two long grains. Reverse: Galley right. AMNG I, 1, 287. Very rare. Extremely Fine.

This beautiful Roman Provincial bronze was struck during the limited pseudo-autonomous period when some Roman-dominated cities had been given the right to coin.
