Syria, Seleukid Kingdom. Antiochos I, 280-261 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.96 g) minted at Seleucia on the Tigris. Diademed head right of Antiochos I. Reverse: Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow. Houghton and Lorber I, 379.3; Newell (ESM) 149. Choice Very Fine.
The portrait resembles some issues of his dissolute son, Antiochos II.
