THE GODFATHER Rare One-Sheet Autographed by Marlon Brando, Francis Coppola & Al Martino. Francis Ford Coppola's THE GODFATHER proved one of the most iconic films of the 20th century a masterwork of cinema by any measure winning accolades the world over including Best Picture. Offered is an original release, 1972 one sheet film poster (27 x 41") that mirrored the book jacket of the Mario Puzo best seller. Poster has been inscribed and signed by Marlon Brando who played Don Vito Corleone, by director Francis Coppola and by Al Martino who played the singer, Johnny Fontane. Autographs were obtained in 1974 at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan with a handwritten note describing the circumstanes But because of the numerous fakes of Mr. Brando's signature, autograph has been thoroughly examined and certified authentic by Mr. Brando's long-time assistant and comes with a COA on the personal stationery and envelope Brando once used. Further one-sheet is absolutely authentic with National Screen Services stamp on verso. A rare find and very collectible. Signatures are bold and all found in lower right corner of one-sheet around the Paramount Pictures logo. One sheet is folded as originally issued, and has some minor pinholes and minor evidence of handling which all would be rendered all but moot with expert framing. Estimate Value $1,800 - UP
