Researched "Ushakov" Medal. Award # 3922. Silver. Original chains. Comes with xerox copies of the complete research from the Russian archives, including full military record, citations and decrees. According to research, this medal was awarded to Red Navy Sailor Drykin A.M., recon fighter of the 260th brigade of navy infantry (so-called "Black Death"). On Dec. 15, 1944, comrade Drykin, while doing a recon mission on Finns side, aiming to capture an island, in ice called water and in stormy conditions, was still able to get to the enemy’s shore, create a defense line, and build platform for the incoming help, including airplanes. Good vintage condition, all original parts. Estimated Value $1,000 - UP
