Documented and Researched Order of Patriotic War 1st Class. Type 1. Award # 2650. Type 1, var. 2, with the stick-pin on reverse. Comes with Orders Book (this is the only decoration listed), issued to comrade Kuleshov G.F. Comes with color scans of citation and award decree for this order. According to research, sergeant Kuleshov (a platoon commander in a machine-gun battalion), during defensive fighting around Odessa in October, 1941, using his machine-gun, was able to shoot down 4 enemy planes (!!), as well as killed about a 100 of enemy’s soldiers. Enamels professionally replaced long ago, suspension parts may not be all original, otherwise great looking documented piece. Estimated Value $1,000 - UP
