Elymaian Kingdom. Kamnaskires III, with Anzaze. Silver Tetradrachm (16 g), ca. 82-73 BC. Seleukeia on the Hedyphon, uncertian date. Jugate draped busts of Kamnaskires III, diademed, and his queen, Anzaze, wearing stephane, both left; behind busts, early anchor mintmark. Reverse: BAΣIΛEΩΣ KAMNAΣKIPOY KIA BAΣIΛIΣΣHΣ ANZAZHΣ, Belos seated left, holding Nike and scepter; in inner left field, MAKEΔΩN; no visible date. Haaff Type 7.1, subtype 1-1 or 1-2; cf. Sunrise 470. Lustrous and lightly toned. Finest we have seen. Both Portraits are outstanding. Nearly Mint State.
