Documented and Researched Order of Red Banner. Type 2. Award # 32045. Type 2, screwback. with ‘monetny dvor’ mintmark. Original silver nut. Comes with Order’s Book, containing entry for this Red Banner, as well as Combat Service medal (which is missing). Awarded to Slavinskaya Maria Semyonovna – senior nurse of 1272th rifle regiment, 384th rifle division. According to the award citation, not only she was able to attend to 67 wounded during the battle, and carry out 20 if them out of encirclement, she also fought bravely, using her rifle and grenades! All this in the most critical time of late June – early July, 1941. Color scans of citation included. Red enamel is chipped in several places, otherwise fine, without any repairs and alterations.
