4th century BC. AR Obol (0.52g). Satrap wearing Persian tiara seated right, holding arrow; to right, name of Samaritan governor (Jeroboam). Reverse: Two standing figures facing each other in a shrine. Meshorer and Qedar (Samarian Coinage) 45. The inscription and reverse being particularly well-delineated. Extremely Fine.

The die engraver was most successful in giving this reverse an architecturally correct, three-dimensional feeling.
