Bush, George H.W. -- Signed Photo as Captain of the Yale Baseball Team Shaking Hands With Babe Ruth. 14 x 11" black and white photo signed "George Bush," no place, no date. Bush, who was captain of the 1948 Yale baseball team, is shown at Yale Field with Yankee legend Babe Ruth, who visited Yale on June 5, 1948, and donated the manuscript of his book "The Babe Ruth Story" to the Yale Library. Fine condition.Yale won the game that followed the ceremony, defeating Princeton 14-2. Bush '41 kept his old Yale baseball glove in a desk drawer in the Oval Office while he was President. Accompanied by a scorecard from the Amherst-Yale game of April 24, 1948, signed by some of the college players. Estimate $300 - 500
