Lucania. Metapontum, c. 280 BC. AR Nomos (7.9 g). Head of Demeter right, her hair wreathed with barley, ΔI at left. Reverse: Ear of barley, ethnic to right, skyphos in left field. Johnston Class D, 4.7 (same dies). Bold, almost full strike. Attractive, with soft gray patina. Nice Extremely Fine.
