Begin, Menacham (1913-1992) Israeli statesman and prime minister (1977-83). In the late 70s he sought a peaceful settlement with the Egyptians, and attended peace conferences in Jerusalem (1977), and at Camp David at the invitation of President Carter (1978). He shared the 1978 Nobel Peace Prize with President Sadat of Egypt.

Typed Letter Signed. One page, in English, Quarto, on personal letterhead. Jerusalem, December 29, 1986. Includes transmittal envelope. Signed in blue pen. In full.
