Early Christian Byzantine Period Glazed Terracotta Bowl. Handsome Byzantine era, yellowish glazed bowl with sgraffito design of a Byzantine Orthodox (or Patriarchal) cross in center. Salvaged from the Sea of Marmara (Propontis) with remnants of sea residue present 2½ x 5" in very fine condition and free from repair. Estimated Value $250 - 400
