Lot 266

Space Shuttle, 1976, NASA Model Shop Wooden Casting Molds (about 12x6" and 12x9") These two solid wooden positive models were used by the model shop to make casting indentations in sand. One piece, both hand inscribed and engraved on one end, has a NASA ID that reads: "V070-613779-001 / T-7132945 / SN 785858 / WMU ID / NASA Prop / 9-76". The other piece has a mostly illegible ink ID. Both pieces are beautifully machined and were probably used to make engine part castings. Some faults, but quite unusual and great conversation pieces.
Estimated Value $250 - 350.
