One of the greatest films about professional and amateur pool playing, a great character study of the men that play the game and with each passing decade, gaining in reputation as a contemporary classic. The 1961 film was nominated for 9 Academy Awards including Picture, director and acting nods for Newman, Gleason and George C. Scott and ended up winning 2 for production and cinematography. Offered is a vintage re-strike 10" x 8" black and white still from the film signed by Gleason across his light grey suit with the letter G and N in shadowy areas of the photo. Paul Newman's autograph is boldly signed in silver felt tip pen in the dark areas in lower right corner and can be read very clearly. Estimate Value $150 - UP
