Rita Hayworth: Nine (9) Stunning Portraits from GILDA Photo Shoot with Glenn Ford and Six (6) Behind The Scenes. GILDA (1946) 15 Original Release Photos Director Charles Vidor's film noir classic starring Rita Hayworth, Glenn Ford and George Macready has stood the test of time and remains one of the most acclaimed films from the 1940s. Columbia Pictures pulled out all the stops in creating publicity materials for this film as evidenced here by a series of shoots by acclaimed photographers Coburn and Cronenweth. Offered are nine (9) vintage original photos we have commonly referred to as "The Striped Dress Series" as Hayworth is dressed in the same Jean Louis, heavily hand-beaded in stripes, couture dress. Some of these photos were used in the making of promotional theater posters which speaks to their importance. Very desirable photos, all with publicity slugs and photographer stamps on verso. The remaining six photos are all by Cronenweth and are behind the scenes original release photos of the Buenos Aires number, with Hayworth stunning in a very leggy gaucho costume.
