Ray Bolger, The Scarecrow in Wizard of OZ, Outstanding, Heartfelt Presentation Piece, Photo, Signature and Handwritten Prayer (1904-1987) American film and television actor, vaudevillian, TV presenter, singer, tap dancer and musical theatre performer whose career began during the silent film era. He was a major Broadway performer from 1930-1960 but is best known for his role as the Scarecrow in MGM's classic The Wizard of Oz (1939). For fans of that classic and Mr Bolger, a beautiful matted presentation piece. An excellent re-strike photo as the Scarecrow in full costume and make-up is matted along with a very bold autograph by Bolger. In addition, he has written that his favorite Psalm is the 23rd Psalm and then adds "My favorite prayer is from me, my heart and my soul" and then continues by inscribing that prayer and it is lovely. A wonderful piece from a much beloved actor celebrating his most famous role in his career. 16 x 22" and in excellent condition with Bolger's handwriting crisp and legible. Estimate Value $250 - UP
