Lot 2597

1904 $20 Liberty. NGC graded MS-66. Lovely golden toning on both sides. A stunning Gem that will certainly attract the foremost collectors who always pay attention to the satiny luster and gorgeous surfaces on these coins. As a date, 1904 will hardly raise a stir. However, in this MS66 grade, any Liberty twenty becomes an object of much discussion. The color is, as internet viewers and readers of the catalog will see by the photographs, a very attractive shade. Close examination will note exceptional smoothness and pristine luster on the cheek, as well, and in all areas of the field on both sides. We rarely use superlatives, but in this case, a big word is warranted: a tremendous opportunity to put away a very attractive condition rarity! Pop 188; 1 finer in 67 (PCGS # 9045) .
Estimated Value $8,500 - 9,000.

Realized $13,800
