It is well-centered, broadly margined, and bears the engraved signature of Benjamin Strong, the powerful governor of the New York Federal Reserve district bank who was a significant figure in the 1920s era and who fought vainly to restrain easy monetary policy and speculation during the period preceding the 1929 stock market crash and the Great Depression.
