Lot 25

1794 S-39 R6 PCGS graded XF40. Very attractive glossy medium brown and light olive. The surfaces are smooth and this cent has outstanding eye appeal. The only notable marks are a diagonal nick hidden in clashmarks close to the back of the head, a dull scratch at ME in AMERICA, and a few tiny ticks inside the O in OF. E-MDS, Breen state II early, with die clashmarks on the obverse but an uncracked reverse. Graded VF30 net VF20 and CC#7 in the Noyes census, his photo #59301. Bland says VF25 and tied for CC#6 with the ANS example. Our grade is VF30. A very attractive example of this rare die variety. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
