Lucania, Velia, c. 290-275 BC. AR Didrachm (or Nomos; 7.25 g). Head left of Athena wearing Phrygian helmet decorated with griffin. Reverse: Lion attacking stag left. Williams 572; cf. SNG ANS 1249. Large flan; a handsome coin. About Extremely Fine.
