China. Dollar, CD 12th Year (1923). K-680; Y-336. Republic. Dragon and Phoenix meet over the insignia of longevity. Reverse Open wreath of grain. One Yuan in center Prooflike with light toning. NGC graded MS-63.

Struck to commemorate the wedding of Pu Yi, the last Emperor. Said to have been struck by the Monarchists as a show of support for the last Emperor of the Ching Dynasty, Henry Pu Yi, who was later the puppet ruler of Manchuria for the Japanese. This coin could not be put into circulation as The Republic had overthrown the Ching Dynasty.
