(1897) SC1$ HK-834 NGC MS62. Rarity 6. NGC graded MS-62. Bickford Dollar. Aluminum, Bronze center. Untoned. Quite interesting. This item was proposed by Dana Bickford to Dr. Henry Linderman (previous Mint Director) in order to create a international piece of coinage that would have a common value anywhere it was used. Although the idea to create a coin that was monetarily the same all over the world was quite impressive, Mr. Bickford's dream never materialized. Pop 7; 15 finer, 8 in 64, 6 in 65, 1 in 66.
