Louwelsa Ewer. Height: 9-½". Single-handled vessel with delicately flared mouth. Golden pansies and large, green leaves ornament the widest part of the body. Initial inscribed in the glaze resembles the M of a Louwelsa artist acknowledged as unknown. With the Louwelsa Weller half-circle seal impressed to the base, along with the numbers 17 and 2, and the inscribed number 11. With a tiny (less than 1/8") chip to the glaze of the body and a few minor surface scratches; still quite fine.
