Guest Book From a 1935/36 Chartered Sailboat to Catalina, John Wayne and Jack Oakie Both Having Signed With Long Entries. Unusual and curious item of a guest book with autographs and entries throughout. There are certainly two names of note John Wayne and Jack Oakie but there may be considerably more notables. John Wayne signe John Wayne "Duke" and wrote "Well Popeye, you finally let me get aboard this scow and you're going to have a hell of a time keeping me off from now on" Plus a long entry May 14th, 1935 on the opposite page about "leaving with John Wayne, Bud Huntley and Bob Morrison". The other celebrity entry is by Jack Oakie and reads: "Admiral Jack (Shirley Temple) Oakie Picture Actor……Hair Sandy Eyes Blue. If you want me to come again call CR 8573, if a woman answers hang up!" There are all kinds of other entries and, to be frank, there appears to have been some serious horsing around on this pleasure boat! Autographs and entries in excellent condition. Guest book cover shows its age but inside is quite fine. Estimate Value $500 - UP
