C CAESAR AVG GERMANICVS P M TR POT around, PIETAS in exergue, Pietes, veiled and draped, seated left, holding patera in outstretched hand and resting arm on small facing figure, draped, on basis. Reverse: DIVO AVG / S C in two lines across field, emperor standing left, holding patera over garlanded altar; standing on either side, a victimarius holding a bull for sacrifice and an attendant holding a patera; garlanded hexastyle temple of Divus Augustus in background. RIC 36; BN 51; BMC 41-3. Reddish-brown patina. Rough surfaces. Choice Very Fine. Estimated Value $1,000 - UP
